Sewing Class Available Now!

I was given an opportunity by a friend to conduct a class at her embroidery shop. So here it is..my first sewing class is happening. Im starting this class with a basic Clutch which is easier for beginner to create as their first project. 

Melanie Clutch is a stylish and roomy clutch with unlimited possibilities for customizing this clutch to fit your style and personality. This clutch is good for keeping your basic essentials and also be used to keep your gadgets. If you blend the right combo colors of fabric, it can also be suitable for dinner function.

This class will take about 2 - 3 hours depending on your sewing experience. Do not worry if you do not have extensive experience. All you need to know is how to sew one straight line!!

This class will be done in practical mode where we will guide you from the basic process right up to the finish product. 

All materials will be provided except scissors, cutter, ruler, pencil to mark.

Inspiration for Wristlet

These days, wristlet is getting more popular than ever. It has become one of important things to have for ladies. Don't you find it useful where you can just run out to the door, grab your wristlet without carrying huge bag that enough to fit your home or every motherhood items that weighs your shoulder down???

Bonnie The Bunny

Bonnie Bunny Pillow is super cute and perfect to cuddle with during nap time or a lovely decoration in a nursery or in the easter basket.

The finished bunny measures 11" x 8" not including 7 extra inches with the ears! This is definitely good huggable size.

Bonnie is made fully from premium american cotton and stuffed with fiber fill. I add a little felt texture to the eyes and tails.

Bonnie can definitely be customised according to your preferred fabric. You can play around with colors and PM to discuss.

The apron itself is made of premium cotton that is very sturdy & can handle whatever kids try to throw at it! The pocket is made of heavy weight cotton & all seams are double stitched at pressure points where they shove those little hands & everything they hold!

You choose the apron color, pocket fabric, font style, font color & of course, the name to be monogrammed. See photos to the right for choices. 

This apron is fully adjustable and is reversible.

Ideas: Building a Scheme Around a Single Fabric

Today we're going to discuss building a scheme around a single fabric! I've chosen Eye Drops in Dusk from Parisville by Tula Pink. It has a lot of different greens and some blues so it's a bit of a challenge for me. I need to get outside of my pink/gold/brown bubble! :)

To get started, pull the main colors out of the fabric. There are a lot of shades of purple, green and blue in this fabric. 

Again, as you're pulling fabrics, keep a few things in mind!

1. While pulling individual colors, be sure to grab a few Tone on Tone and Color + White prints!

2. When choosing prints with large and small accents, be thoughtful about the colors of those accents! Those accents shouldn't clash with the other colors in the scheme! In this case, we're working with cool colors, so you'll want to avoid warm colored accents (pink, yellow, red, orange)

3. Think about using a good mix of geometric and organic prints!

You can add two shades of plum that were the two main colors in the fabric.A bit of blue - purple. I also choose  green range of shades that were in the original fabric. I added more blue than the swatches to add a little more depth!I couldn't help but add some blue-green fabrics!

Finished! Some coordinating solids would be a nice addition as well!
